The Salient Features of Customs SMS Gateway at Air Cargo, Delhi:

The current status of the Shipping Bill and Drawback Claims can be ascertained by sending an SMS (Short Message Service) from any mobile phone to the Customs SMS Gateway No: 9811888800. The SMS service is available for the areas mentioned below

Message can be created as per the format given below and sent to 9811888800.

i.	Shipping Bill number :	*SB <Shipping Bill No>*
ii.	Job No given by the Service Center :	*JE <Job Number>*
iii.	Importer-Exporter Code Number :
	- for shipping bill details	*EC <Imp-Exp Code No.>*
	- for IEC receipt from DGFT	*DG <Imp-Exp Code No.>*
iv.	EGM Number :	*EM <EGM No> <YYYY>*
v	DEPB Information	DE <DEPB Rg. No.> <Rg. Date>

The Customs SMS Gateway informs about the date of filing of the document, assessment of document, examination of document, and time and date of Let Export Order for the document.

If any query were raised against the document, the Customs SMS Gateway would also send the text of the query through SMS on the mobile phone of the person making the inquiry.

The Customs SMS Gateway would inform the date and time of filing of Export Manifest in Indian Customs EDI System.

6.

The Customs SMS Gateway would provide information for drawback documents such as amount of drawback sanctioned, drawback amount is sanctioned but withheld, sanctioned but not transferred to bank etc.

7.

The Customs SMS Gateway will also provide information through SMS with reference to the Importer-Exporter Code of the person. The information for Shipping Bills filed on the day the query is made or the last working day.

8.

The Customs SMS Gateway would provide the information for CIF balance and Duty Credit balance of DEPB script based on DEPB registration number and date in customs computer.

9.

The Customs SMS Gateway will also provide the information whether the IE Code details for the given IEC has been received in the Customs Computer from DGFT or not.
